Under the Youth Services Bureau will come connections to the Youth Commission which is comprised of both youth and adults who offer their insight regarding the direction of the department and feedback regarding
which serves as an opportunity for the city's youth who are currently in high school and opportunity to realize their leadership potential via their participation. MYC meets weekly throughout the academic year and takes leadership roles in youth-driven workshops, discussions and service-learning projects. This program is co-facilitated with Youth@Work.

Provides New Haven agencies with funding for summer bussing so that they may provide cultural and educational trips for youth participants.

provides new bicycles to inner city youth who are middle school and/or high school attendees—with collaboration with New Haven Police Department.
New Haven youths receive new bicycles to canvass designated neighborhood to encourage New Haven residents to take advantage of UI’s Home Energy Solution. This was possible through a collaboration with the City of New Haven, UI, Bank of America, Energize CT, Comcast, NH Housing Services, Devil’s Gear Bike Shop and PoisGen.
