Vendor Self-Service
The City of New Haven's Vendor Self-Service (VSS) portal is a free, online vendor information management system available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It allows businesses to maintain accurate company information in the City's financial database and helps ensure invoices are processed without delay. Vendors who do not register and verify their information — including providing a W-9 form — may experience delays in invoice processing.

How to Register
- Create your account. Visit the portal and click the Register button. You'll be guided through a five-step process to enter your firm's information. Fields marked with a red asterisk are required.
- Add contacts and addresses. Use a generic company email accessible by more than one person and add at least one additional contact to receive notifications. Each email address must be unique.
- Upload required documents. In order to do business with the City of New Haven, you must upload a current W-9 form after completing registration. Additional documents — such as disclosure forms, local compliance documents, certifications, and insurance certificates (when applicable) — can also be uploaded here.
- Review and submit. Before finalizing, review all of your information for accuracy. You can make edits at this stage before submitting your registration.
Keeping Your Information Up to Date
Log back into the portal at any time to update your company's address, contacts, banking information, or compliance documents. Keeping your profile current ensures the City can reach you about opportunities and process payments promptly.
