The SBRC is the “City’s leading Entrepreneurship Clearinghouse” where new entrepreneurs and current business owners alike can obtain support and services that will support business start-ups and growth.
The City of New Haven's Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) is an entrepreneurial support organization (ESO) helping businesses acquire funding to start, grow, and scale. The SBRC provides access to capital, connections with resource providers, innovative tools, and programs & assistance for all small businesses.

In-Person Advising
All in-person advising is currently suspended. We ask everyone to please use this SBRC Online Assessment Form as we will not be taking any in-person appointments at this time. Someone from the SBRC team will respond via phone and/or email. Thank you for your understanding.
Our staff is here to work with you on an individual basis. Using our extensive experience, we can provide you with advice, counseling, and technical assistance on everything from how to start or register a business, write a business plan, secure licensing or permitting, pursue local, state, and federal business incentives, find an appropriate business site, and evaluate various financing options.
