Transportation Alternatives Analysis
The City of New Haven will undertake an Alternatives Analysis study to identify and enhance public transit connectivity in the region. The pending study includes a review of transit needs, access to transit and the availability of public transportation to residents of the city.

Route 34 Downtown Crossing
The City of New Haven's plan to transform Route 34 East, from Union Avenue to Park Street in downtown, from highway stub to slower speed, city streets. These city streets will bridge the gap between New Haven's Downtown and its Medical District and Hill neighborhoods.

New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program
This Program will improve I-95 from Exit 46, Sargent Drive to Exit 54, Cedar St, and will include the replacement of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge, or the "Q" Bridge, with a new signature, ten-lane extradosed bridge. The Program also contains transit other enhancements, including a new Shore Line East commuter rail station at State Street in New Haven.

Hill-to-Downtown New Haven
The City of New Haven's plan to rebuild the connections between the Hill neighborhood, the Medical District, Union Station and Downtown that were severed in the mid-20th century. This planning effort will take a broad look at the area and create recommendations to support job creation, business growth, and a more vibrant urban environment.

Union Station Transit-Oriented Development & District Plan
The City of New Haven is partnering with state and regional entities to complete pre-development activities and initiate preliminary design of a transit oriented development at Union Station.

Downtown Point-in-time Parking Study
Annually, the City of New Haven conducts an occupancy study of the on- and off-street parking facilities in the central business district and performs counts of bicycle and pedestrian activity at select locations.

New Haven On-St Parking Performance-Based Pricing Report
Key Findings based on 2018 on-street parking occupancy data include the following, and are explained and visually presented in further detail in this report.
