This is part-time (up to 19 hours) specialized responsible work involving the programming and teaching of sewing for senior center participants. Schedule may vary, and may take place at any of three senior centers in New Haven.
Minimum of three years’ experience in teaching classes in the specified area of sewing and crafts. High school graduate with advanced training in teaching and conducting classes in specified areas.

SALARY: $16.50 PER HOUR
This position is a part time position, typically totaling no more than 19 hours per week. Additional assignments may be made available in the course of employment during special holiday and arts programming.
This part time position is not eligible to receive medical benefits, vacation pay, holiday, union membership, or union contractual benefits. Any period of part time employment will not be construed in any way to mean probationary employment. Persons may not be employed in two concurrent part time positions with the City and/or the Board of Education at the same time.
