Fireworks Safety **

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) takes aim at consumer fireworks. View the latest public service announcement, featuring Dan Doofus, urging people not to use consumer fireworks because they are too dangerous. Fireworks are responsible for thousands of fires and injuries each year. On Independence Day in a typical year, more U.S. fire are reported than on any other day. The Alliance to Stop Consumer Fireworks is coordinated by NFPA.

The focus of the Mission Statement and strategic planning effort shall be used to provide as a minimum to its taxpayers and guests visiting the community. The potential covers a wide array of hazards and delivery parameters.

The New Haven Fire Department was organized as a paid Department on June 24, 1862. Since that time there have been only seventeen Fire Chiefs in command of the Department.

The New Haven Fire Department is proud to be an ISO class 1 Fire Department.
