Community Services Administration

About our Office
The Community Services Administration (CSA) is ardently committed to addressing the health & social well-being of all New Haven residents. We're dedicated to opening the doors for all New Haven residents to have a greater quality of life. We encompass Elderly Services, Social Services, Food Systems & Policy, Project Fresh Start, the Warren Kimbro Re-entry Program, & the Office of Housing & Homelessness Services.

CSA works collaboratively with community partners & city agencies to:

• Reduce homelessness & provide emergency shelter for needy individuals & families
• Help formerly incarcerated Residents succeed when they return home
• Redirect low-level drug offenders to services & resources instead of jail & prosecution
• Improve financial literacy among vulnerable residents
• Encourage healthy early childhood development
• Increase Residents' access to food & health food options
• Assist our seniors with  maintaining independence & remaining active
• Promote & celebrate New Haven's arts, culture & tourism

CSA also leads implementation of the City Transformation Plan (CTP).  With goals & strategies across eight platforms, the CTP seeks to be a "game-changer" by aligning initiatives across New Haven's public, private, non-profit, & philanthropic sectors.
